There are as many types of stand as there are creative people in the world, but generally speaking we can say that there are three basic types:
- Portable: these are the simplest and least expensive and incorporate graphic material that is easy-to-carry. They are commonly used for more local communication initiatives and are simple and limited in style. There are various sub-types including banner stands or pop-up structures.
- Modular: modular standsare the most commonly used in space-creating architecture, they tend to be square in structure and are adapted to exhibition venues where events are held. They offer a good quality/price ratio, are versatile and affordable. The drawbacks include a limited capacity to stand out from competitors as they are uniform in terms of colour and are not very large.
- Free design: also known as personalised spaces or custom stands, they entail a larger investment of money but they are fully adapted to the company targets and marketing plan. They can be built from different materials, such as fabric or wood; they are more efficient in attracting the attention of the client; and they stand out distinctly from competitors. They are typically larger in size, although they are fully customizable in this respect also.
